Ryusei would've loved to do nothing more than sulk in his dorm room. He'd been at Beaumont for, well, he didn't really care to remember the exact day he arrived after his transfer, and already he was getting pissed off and irritated over who the hell knows what. Last time he was this irritable... Well it was before he met his friend Konoe. That boy was the one person Ryusei could actually tolerate despite both of their odd personalities, and although just like with like everyone else there had been times where Ryu would love to simple kick the man, he couldn't help but adore him as well. He had no problem admitting that he missed the boy. Even he, who spent his entire life without any kind of company with exception to during school hours, needed some kind of attention and longed for the presence of his friend. There was a fairly large difference between the kind of company Rysei had when he was picking fights for no obvious reason, and the kind of company he had when spending time with Konoe. Yeah, with Konoe, Ryu was actually happy for once and could act however he wanted.
Of course, Ryusei never really did expect that His blue-haired friend would follow him here to Beaumont. He couldn't ask him, no then he'd feel guilty if the other was unhappy about it, but he didn't want to simply leave him behind. He had been almost in a state of denial the first day or two, but afterwards Ryu had given up the idea and simply accepted that he likely wouldn't be able to go back to Konoe. Obviously, the thoughts were completely unnecessary... But who was there to tell that to the third year? Nobody knew of his little problem in the first place, so why would they be able to tell him Konoe had actually decided to come along with him to the academy? No, Ryusei would have to wait to figure that one out on his own just like he did everything else, but hey, at least finding the man he grew affectionate to would prove to be a rather pleasant surprise.
Considering he couldn't exactly afford not to be, Ryusei had been in class like a good student did. His perfect attendance didn't give him perfect marks, so he worked everyday just like every student did so that he could maintain his percentages at their low-eighties average. Because of this, it wasn't until now that he actually had the chance to go back to his dorm (he made it a personal goal to get all his homework done in class, so yet was often that he stayed for up to an hour after classes ended), and he planned to go right to sleep so that he wouldn't be burdened with the thought of how he wished to see the older boy once again. So instead of making the various stops around the school's campus like he normally would have, Ryusei had gone directly back to the dorms and to his dorm with his headphones in, music blaring. Though he had turned it off once he was outside the door to his dorm, Ryusei didn't notice any signs that he had a new roommate or that it was Konow who was in his dorm. He always left the front door unlocked during the day so that wasn't anything out of the ordinary, and there were absolutely no other signs that there were other people present in his room, though he had walked completely past the bedrooms knowing there were clothes he could change into right in the living room. He had left a pair of shorts and a t-shirt on the couch for himself since the last he checked there were no roommates to tell him not to, so why would he bother to do anything else? Of course, even if there were anybody Ryusei just so happened to not know about, he was just about quiet enough so that anyone without freaking supersonic hearing wouldn't even notice he was there. He changed his clothes in the living room silently as well, still ignorant to the fact that there was someone laying on the bed next to his in the bedrooms, and it was only until he dropped his heavy-ass back back onto the floor did any sound come from what he was doing at all. But then again, even with sound evidence that he, the original roommate, was home, who would really know to get up and go see him? Ryusei didn't yet know it was Konoe just in the other, and it was likely that the other man didn't know Ryu would be his roommate either.
So, when Ryusei had finally dropped his heavy backpack onto the ground behind the couch and turned around, he made a stop into the kitchen before going to his bedroom. He grabbed a water bottle from the fridge, though didn't open it, and finally made his way towards the bedroom so he could sulk and hopefully fall asleep very, very early. That was when the sight hit him and he couldn't help but stand there, in silence and surprise. Although it definitely took him a moment, Ryusei recognized the other man solely from how damn talk he was and the blue hair that was visible and he wanted to turn around and freak out for just a moment. But instead of having a nervous breakdown from the happiness of seeing his friend again, Ryu tip-toed over to the other when he noticed the other still hadn't figured out he was here, and taking in a deep breath Ryusei looked down to make sure the other was still completely ignorant to his presence, and laid on top of the man.
It was something the two of them were quite accustomed to, although it hadn't happened often it was still something uniquely theirs, and there was no way the man beneath him could mistake Ryu for being anyone else. He doubted the other boy knew anyone with such a blatant lack of respect for personal space, but then again with how close they were was that much of a problem? He laid on top of Konoe, his chest pressed against the other's back and his hands reaching forward to play with the other's blue hair as he spoke softly. "You really should take off your shoes before laying down, Ko-chan."
